Bitola Shakespeare Festival 2025 – Programme

Performances from the USA, Bulgaria, Poland and Croatia at the 11th Bitola Shakespeare Festival
On November 14, 1981, the National Theatre in Bitola will host the opening ceremony of the Bitola Shakespeare Festival, marked by the premiere of one of Shakespeare’s most frequently staged plays, Macbeth, directed by Szabó K. István from Hungary.
On November 15, the Aleksander Węgierko Drama Theatre from Poland will present 12 Nights. On November 17, the program features A Midsummer Night’s Dream performed by Little Moon Theatre from Santa Barbara, USA.
November 18 and 19 are dedicated to Macedonian productions. On November 18, Artema Theatre Lab will stage Evolution of Decay, and on November 19, the festival will present the choreodrama Solitude, inspired by Shakespeare’s Sonnets.
On November 20, the monodrama I, Pizzblosom will be performed by Honey Tong Theatre Production, a collaboration between Croatia and England. The festival will conclude on November 21 with As You Caress, staged at the Stoyan Bachvarov Drama Theatre in Varna, Bulgaria.
