The Verona Shakespeare Festival has joined ESFN!
The Council of the European Shakespeare Festivals Network is delighted to formally confirm that the Verona Shakespeare Festival (organised by: Comune di Verona, Estate Teatrale Veronese) and the Verona Shakespeare Fringe Festival (organised by: Comune di Verona, Estate Teatrale Veronese, Skenè Research Centre, University of Verona) have been invited to become members of the Network.
Our network brings together the leading Shakespeare Festivals across Europe, who explore the work of Shakespeare as an international dramatist, and who, in their festivals, present productions that illustrate this.
Membership is conferred on festivals, who share this common aim.
Following an application by the Verona Shakespeare Festival and Verona Shakespeare Fringe Festival, and following completion of all the relevant requirements, membership was accepted formally by voting during Annual General Meeting in Craiova, on 25th May, 2022 and confirmed by the visit of Philip Parr – Chairman of the ESFN Council, at the festival, in August 2022.
We are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration.
Dear colleagues from The Verona Shakespeare Festival– welcome to the Network!
