Prague Shakespeare Company invites students of all ages from all over the world to be a part of an unforgettable summer experience in Prague, Czech Republic: PSC’s 2017 Summer Shakespeare Intensive. The month long intensive training program is conducted in English, featuring outstanding master teachers with a wide variety of Shakespeare and classical theatre experts and is particularly distinguished from other summer training programs in that the focus is on production and putting skills learned in the classroom on the stage. 2017 Summer Shakespeare Intensive will conclude with a three play Original Pronunciation season of productions of a gender-flipped A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Lisa Wolpe, Richard II (starring Ben Crystal as Richard II and Matthew Davies as Bolingbroke) and Romeo and Juliet in addition to a non-OP production of The Death of Kings, an award-winning compilation of all of Shakespeare’s history plays directed by Irwin Appel. All productions are fully produced PSC 2017 Season events cast from a combination of SSI students, SSI faculty and professional PSC artists. Everything in the 2017 SSI is geared towards “putting it on the stage” and the productions are the perfect compliment to the intensive and excellent training.
